Yesterday at work I got this year's first verified Hat Trick: resident MAGA who has previously complained about stores putting out Christmas stuff too early, and previously complained that the radio starts playing Christmas music too early, and has now remarked about the war on Christmas. It's a little game I play every year, seeing how early it happens. This year is the earliest, I'm pretty sure.

Now I'm just waiting to see how long I can make it without being Mariah'd. I've heard *A* Mariah Carey xmas song, but not THAT one yet.

When I worked in a bookstore we had an eclectic team, and we were allowed to "program" our own music over the store's sound system. During this time of year we'd playThe Vandals - Oi to the World. James Brown's Funky Christmas collection. The Star Wars Christmas Album. I hadn't known that there were Gregorian xmas-themed chants until I worked there. It helped that the staff at the music store in the mall were good friends.
