Stroke at dinner, alone with an M.D.? Gee, how would that go in the U.S. today?
A) "Sorry, I'm a specialist and that's not my area." removes his fingerprints from everything and flees to avoid an increase in his malpractice insurance.
B) "I see. Well, I'm going to have you take a bunch of (unnecesary or unrelated) tests to rule things out, and here's a referral to a specialist with a 3 month waitlist."
C) "Um, uh, curious. Well, our time's up. The nurse should be by to follow up with you in a few minutes and answer any remaining questions."
D) dinner alone, because the M.D. working in an emergency room with actual skills/training/capability to help you has either been called in or is too exhausted from overtime to show up.
At least a 'Doctor of Musical Composition' would stay with you waiting for the EMT's to arrive after they called 911.
