Edit to add: Holy crap. So this Bay Bridge protest started on the Embarcadero. Unsure how far toward Oakland the protest has stretched, but it's measured in miles right now.

Part of the beginning of the process was the city dissolved its police department and turned policing over to the county. There's a lot more good and bad to the whole story though.
