The orange thing is part of the american reich. Think that is wrong? Prove otherwise
If things stick to the same schedule as before it may have protesters all over the city while it is indoors thumbing its nose at the black community. Not sure if this has already been posted...
Every time I allow that it might be a case of some bad apples I either find more bad apples or at least formerly good cops covering up for bad cops. I will allow there MIGHT be a few good cops but the numbers are not on their side.
Huh? When did I say anything like that? The orange thing is part of the american reich. Think that is wrong? Prove otherwise
There are good cops. The Minneapolis chief by all accounts is one. I think Art Acevedo, chief in Austin then Houston, is one. But Among other problems, the unions prevent the bad ones from being fired no matter what they do. Good cops are up against a poisonous culture. Nothing new, remember Serpico.Every time I allow that it might be a case of some bad apples I either find more bad apples or at least formerly good cops covering up for bad cops. You didn't. Kara's post was a generalized reaction to the information presented and aimed at would be fuckwads reading the forum. At least, that is how it came across.Huh? When did I say anything like that?
There were four cops present when George Floyd was murdered, all of them were involved in one way or another. There are good cops. The Minneapolis chief by all accounts is one. Sigh, people here really need a lesson in dry humour. He is saying someone is in antifa so I made a simillar accusation.Huh? When did I say anything like that?
Minneapolis is a notoriously Historically malignant PD. There are plenty of rotten apples and barrels. But not all are. Camden, for example, is being held up as a model for reform. There were four cops present when George Floyd was murdered, all of them were involved in one way or another.
Chauvin may have been the one doing the killing, but the others either assisted him directly or prevented bystanders from intervening.
If there has ever been a more obvious case of "one rotten apple spoils the bunch", I haven't heard of it.
I have no idea how to break the unions’ power, but they are at the heart of the police problem, because they ensure no acountability. Bad cops cannot be fired.
I am willing to believe there are a few good ones out there. Unfortunately most at the very least are willing to cover for the really bad ones. Which means all of them are at a point of having to show they are good rather than it being assumed.Minneapolis is a notoriously Historically malignant PD. I like to give credit to the police who do protect and serve, like the five Dallas police that died a few years ago literally shielding citizens with their bodies. If there was only one policeman In the country protecting and serving, s/he would deserve not to be tarred with the same brush as the bad cops.
Many or even most may be bad, but not all.
