The main SL viewer and Firestorm have both been updated recently with PBR fixes and performance enhancements, and to prepare for the switch over to WebRTC voice chat.

Official viewer has felt a bit peppier since I downloaded the update yesterday. Hope to take it on a serious evaluation over the weekend.

The update butchered my graphics settings, so I'm not sure if I can A/B compare unless I know of all configuration changes were made. (._.)

The sequel will probably be better.

No saved settings? My saved profiles were still there.

On a side note, why does it save Depth of Field enabled/disabled, but NOT the DOF setting for "DOF follows mouse cursor"?

Oh... This is about Second Life.

I thought maybe you had tried some of those dick pills that get spammed sometimes and were letting us know how it went.

I use a lot of debug settings and I'm horrible at keeping notes/backups. One that stood out is RenderVolumeLODFactor. I always bump it up to 4.0. After the update, it was dropped to 1.5.

As for the DOF setting, it's the same setting, just renamed in the UI. The debug key is RenderDepthOfField which has always just been a boolean for as long as I remember.

I'm a big fan of the new update. My computer could run the older version but it sounded like a jet engine. Now it's back to normal.

The slightly updated Firestorm seems very much like the previous one. It only works without the jet engine sound if I turn off mirrors, reflections, shadows.... So much for my RTX 3070.
