What I find worrying from that is that on the left-leaning side, there are multiple parties competing for votes, whereas on the right-leaning side there are only two parties, which implies that the left side is going to fragment far more seriously than the right.

This is fantastic.

The United Kingdom is among the toughest regions when it comes to internet age verification laws. The Online Safety Act 2023 is a UK law that requires tech platforms to protect users, especially children, from certain online content, including through measures like age verification.

Websites and apps may ask users to take a short video or a guided selfie for facial age-estimation scans, upload a photo of their government-issued ID, run facial age-estimation scans, or verify through third-party services that cross-check personal data.
But according to a recent study (PDF) by Internet Matters, a London-based child online safety nonprofit, approximately one-third of UK children are bypassing age verification by using methods as simple as drawing a mustache with an eyebrow pencil.

And yet the results are honestly pretty boring. No surprises here. They confirm exactly what we expected. We are in an era of five party politics. Reform is out in front, currently securing around 25% across England and obviously doing particularly well in Leave-voting areas. So far - and again, everything can change - that’s basically in line with the polling. It’s impressive, they’re in the lead, but they are down from where they were a few months ago and not actually that much higher than the other parties, who are jostling around the 15-20% range.

Nothing has fundamentally altered. In fact, the story so far is a confirmation of the things we’ve said for months: Reform is leading, the Greens are doing well, the Lib Dems are chugging along, the two main parties are bleeding out, and people want change.

Wow, Keir Stürmer lost 1500+ councilors to Farage even though he turned his party into a far-right, Zionazi and anti-trans cesspool like, say, Reform? Who'da thunk it! 🤣

Whatever BS Keir Stürmer's groupies may spew, they alone are the ones that killed Labour. They need to be kicked out of the party for good, with a "sod off, and if we ever see you again, it'll be twenty billion years too soon" and a prosecution in the Hague for complicity in genocide.

Nobody cares about Britain... or Tristan da Cunha, a british overseas territory about half way between South America and the southern most tip of Africa with a population of 250 and a hanta virus victim who disembarked there from that now notorious cruise ship.

So when the hospital there started running out of oxygen the british government sent help. The problem - there is no landing strip on the island and a boat trip takes too long. The solution: an airbus military transport a mid air refuelling tanker half a dozen paratroopers and a couple of medics - who are not qualified for parachute jumps and had to drop on a tandem parachute.

That's the most remote permanently settled place on Earth. Basically one of those locations where a disease has to spread before the port gets closed.

Its tiny population had to be evacuated in 1961 due to a volcanic eruption. Amazingly, they all chose to return afterwards.

Yeah its a curious place, I got distracted when I was reading about it by the Inaccessible Island Rail.... there's an even smaller island as part of the archipelago called "inaccessible island" - see if you can guess why - which is around 10 sq miles and it has its own flightless bird, that exists nowhere else on earth called the Inaccessible Island Rail. The accidental introduction of cats, rats or even mice (its small enough that mice could be predators to them) would wipe out the population.

Outch! Poor Britain. But we have our own imbeciles here, so no worries, the CDU/SPD government here tries its best to get the AFD in power... </sarcasm>
