Mainland Changes II - Sansara Boogaloo: The Trans-Sansara Causeway

So a few years ago, I, as part of MIRAI Group, the organization I run in multiple games and what not, went and began surveys to set up a proposal to build a connection by road between Bay City and Eastern Sansara. Just as the whole Gaeta mess comes to a head, we get this:

My friend Sarrah pointed out to me that apparently, in the southwest of Sansara, on an island west of the end of the road network in the south, the Lindens had put up this sign of all things, that hadn't been there before. Apparently the SL Geography chat was in a tizzy over it. Suffice to say if this is anything like what I was planning to propose to the LDPW, then I'm excited.

In Aptos and Tomales, south west of Noyo.

I wonder what the plan is, there doesn't seem to be much area to build off of there in any direction. Unless they are going to expand south.

To my understanding they're likely going to either build out from Mavericks or Noyo and head west towards Bay City, past the Sandboxes. Ideally I'd say the Mall there that's gone unused would serve as both a great terminus and a home for a nice revamp of the mall for modern tenants.

Got an update for you guys. Can confirm thanks to my friend Claire, that they're connecting it via Luna Oaks. It's going to likely be a long underground tunnel, which whilst I'd like something more like a long high bridge, I can understand that not exactly being the most convenient thing for boaters. At this time it extends out to Krios. We might see it completed sometime soon.

Its just still underwater. there are a few other underwater tunnels.

I have long said they need a proper way to use one prim to create negative space inside another, that isn't just an alpha.

Like you coukd stick a cylinder through a wall and make a round window, that sort of thing.

But also maybe for attachments, like a hat, with a negative space prim around it, that hides and hair etc that clips through.

Constructive Solid Geometry. Apparently it's been brought up multiple times with Lindens who seem incapable of understanding it. There's a Wikipedia page on it for Euclid's sake.

Oh, you mean the Mall. There's been a Mall out at Luna Oaks for over a decade. It's quite dated and a lot of the stores I think are owned by people who don't use SL anymore.

Yep, they've been working in that area. Here's the start point in Pomponio, just north of the border with Mavericks. Some of the road hadn't rezzed for me, but it's there.

The underwater tunnel seems to be pretty complete from Luna > Luna East > Luna Brink > Koios > Krios > Iapetos > Okeanos > Ceto > Thetis

I mean Mavericks - I don't want it disturbed. It is nice not having sims on 2 sides. I actually had a store in the first round of Luna Oaks when I had a tshirt business called Ano's Silly Shirts
