Seen in the Independent this morning The 10 British political clans that hold the keys to next election. If you can't get that article, go direct to How big are the UK's voter clans and how do they vote? instead.
I took the survey and came out as belonging to the "Global Green Community". I'd long thought of myself as a "wishy-washy liberal", but perhaps I'm now less 'wishy-washy' than I thought. My own lifetime political journey has gone from very left-wing, anti-vietnam etc., when I was a young man; through conservative with a small 'c' until my early middle-age (Orgreave and the like were a key pivot point in moving away from my parent's politics); swinging back towards the Left (mainly voting Liberal, except for the odd Independent); Until I've now (in post-retirement old age) swung back to the political views of my youth.
