Some days, I think that's an overly optimistic view.

Other days, I think, no, if there's one thing you can count on, it is the crass materialism of the American public, so all it will take is a sharp economic downturn. One hopes that does not require we go into a full-blown depression.

One thing seems certain. It will take a heck of a lot more than a few No Kings demonstrations and someone flipping off the motorcade as it passes. I have little faith that what seems to be the imminent demise of Cheetolini will do the trick, either.
