Really odd the other day (19th December around 1100 SLT), I jumped-into the Shermerville area sims and close to Blake Sea, and at many of the sim borders there were 1-2 invisible AVIs of various age (some maybe 10 years old) and generally blank profiles stating 'FBI' in the group tag.
Anyone noticed something odd going on around that time? Was that really a 'friendly visit' by the authorities, or some self-apponted 'SL-police'...?

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that if the FBI was running a covert op, they probably would not have a group tag that said FBI.

Sometimes, a few "FBI" avatars will be rezzed in the water-sim north of my SL home when I'm in-world; they'll be so close to each other that some of them seem to interpenetrate. It's always seemed weird, but ultimately, as Casey said, it ain't the FBI. To me, it's like naming your wi-fi network "CIA Listening Post 44023".

Thanks Govi... seems we have seen the same thing Maybe some 'bot hubs' then.
In the old days, there were stories of self-appointed "SL Police" intimidating and sometimes attempting make noobs pay L$ 'fines'.... sighs.
