I...dont. Sounds awful, but I think I turned into an oldbie. The friends I used to hang with are gone, many I fear are passed. I was never ever a socialite, preferring to park on a platform and build, and I still use SL for creativity and some profit, and adore it just for that. I love my simple garden, and what I've made there, and usually sit up in my studio, "The Plywood Glory", and make things. I log in most days, am often in blender, and Ill hear from nobody. Its 100% ok. Im often on discord, with friends who game and we will chat away while we do tasks, and I'll join them occasionally for a bout of something or other in Fallout or ESO or whatever. I have less in common now with people who only use SL on a daily basis. Its absolutely fine. There are some great people I do events with occasionally that suit me aesthetically, and they are nice people, and ill hear vital info via them. I do the LL shopping events, and like setting up for those as there is room to be creative. I listen in to Builders Brewery but rarely say anything. I check the SL reddit page as if any emergency happens it will be there, and sometimes chatting there is fun. I keep my blender updated and am always learning new stuff there via youtube etc and bringing it to my SL work (creatively and technically I am not stagnating at all, quite the opposite) . I sometimes look at the official pages. I thought this forum had carked it which made me very sad as I feel I know many of you fondly despite never really meeting anyone, and its nice to pop in here again and see some news, but I do get that many of you dont do SL socially anymore. I figure if SL really does die, like people have been claiming since day 1, I'll hear it here and come commiserate.
Editing to add that I use IMS/group notices to email, and completely forgot to say that. Derrrr. But I'm still wearing Lara with an old Llelutka head because change is too hard and I've given up on that.
All the best, peeps
