Many innocent Palestinians held as prisoners have been caught up in this insanity, tortured and starved in revenge for the crimes of others. There is no justice nor peace for them.

The abuse, starvation and humiliation he said endured was part of a pattern described repeatedly in eight other interviews carried out by the Guardian, and dozens more done by the human rights group B’Tselem. They described abuse so widespread and systemic that it must now be considered state policy, said the group’s executive director, Yuli Novak. Israeli jails had become “torture camps” in which at least 60 Palestinian prisoners have died in detention since 7 October 2023, she added.

“I am asking you to look at the condition of the Palestinian prisons. The country they call Israel is killing and torturing prisoners. There are horrible discoveries to be made.

Abayat’s account of his nine nightmare months in Israeli detention is entirely consistent with other reports emerging from the West Bank and Gaza. There are many other images of emaciated Palestinians hobbling out of Israeli jails, shadows of their former selves.

Abayat’s confinement is not an isolated story. His agony is shared by hundreds, if not thousands, of forgotten Palestinian prisoners who still languish in Israeli jails today.”

Hello are you going to correct your misinformation yet? Someone might start to think you are a bad actor.

I don't read every answer to every post of mine. You want to ensure my attention? Use direct messages in the forum here to inform me about it, just like a sane normal forum user would do, but don't litter the forum with your issue everywhere, even where it does not belong to like this thread! That's what direct messages are made for.

Israel withdrew from the UN Humans Right council, where it had an observer but not member status. The USA left by Trump's decree also this week.

Foreign Minister Gideon Saar stated: "The UNHRC has traditionally protected human rights abusers by allowing them to hide from scrutiny, and instead obsessively demonizes the one democracy in the Middle East - Israel.

This body has focused on attacking a democratic country and propagating antisemitism, instead of promoting human rights.

The discrimination against us is clear:
In the UNHRC, Israel is the only country with an agenda item dedicated solely to it. Israel has been subjected to over 100 condemnatory resolutions, over 20% of all resolutions ever passed in the Council - more than against Iran, Cuba, North Korea and Venezuela combined."

The UNHRC did not condemn the Hamas' massacre on October 7, 2023.

A group that played a key role in Donald Trump’s voter outreach to the Arab American community alongside his allies is rebranding itself after the president said that the U.S. would “take over” the Gaza Strip.

Bishara Bahbah, chairman of the group formerly known as Arab Americans for Trump, said during a phone interview with The Associated Press on Wednesday that the group would now be called Arab Americans for Peace.
I'd call that move way too little, too late.
