And it's on! A few days early, which was a pleasant surprise. My husband and I have watched to episode 4 now. Each is a delight; different from the first "season" and lacking some of Terry's wonderful sense of humor about humans, Neil has nonetheless done a wonderful job and created just as much delicious suspense as existed in the first "season."

I'm through 3 of the 6 episodes, just thoroughly enjoying the show while not bingeing it to help make the fun last longer. I love the looks back at Crowley and Aziraphale at different time periods.

I miss not having McDormand as God narrating, but other than that it's perfect.

Neil -- I assume he since he is the producer/writer -- failed Terry in this one. Unless, of course, there's to be a Season 3. The ending -- if it is -- was very unsatisfying. If there is a Season 3, I'm sure Neil will satisfactorily channel Terry. As is, the final few minutes were very unsatisfying. However, the bulk of the story, acting, camera work, etc. was wonderful, completely up to the standard set by Terry & Neil.

Anudda ting, this time to do with Amazon Prime's presentation of series in general. IIRC, Amazon promised to restore full playing of the "end of reel" credits. However, they did not do this for Good Omens 2. Each of the episodes is cut short by their apparently urgent need to shunt us onto the next episode. Each episode has its own unique music played during the credits. This wonderful music starts and is then cut short by Amazon. Gaiman should kick their fat avaricious asses all the way to their condemnation to a lifetime of correcting grammatical errors in all reviews left by Amazon customers.

I’m trying to let myself be convinced to watch this series by reading all your comments here (except the spoilers) so that’s why I’m in this thread…

I agree on really disliking it when the cut off the end of episodes. Maybe we can cancel the start of the next episode, but I’m not sure because by the time you realize and try to find the remote, you’re on to the next. I’ll have to check.

I'm three episodes in and have to confess that I don't find the central plot particularly interesting, but it's almost distressing how little I care. The individual scenes themselves, regardless of their connection to the plot progression, are charming. And the flashbacks to earlier Biblical times are absolute gems and worth the prices of admission.

Derail: For anyone else who is a fan of the Sheen-Tennant combo, I highly recommend Staged. It's a quirky little series they put together during the pandemic lockdown, which consists of them playing themselves as two actors dealing with the lockdown and keeping touch via online video meetings. (Available on BritBox or Amazon Prime.)

We just finished rewatching Season One so we can start Season Two. Looking forward to it. I don't think they really need a plot to get me to watch.

Finished season 2 just a few minutes ago. Mrs. Beebo and I immediately made a pact that we have to live at least two more years, so we can catch Good Omens 3.

A heart-wrenching season ending worthy of the very best fanfic! (I would say slash fanfic, only angels and demons are non-binary, so there's nothing to slash.)

Aziraphale is obviously being co-opted by Heaven because he's too much of an irritant to be left running around on Earth. Here's hoping he figures that out soon. Or has it already?

If you stick with credits, watching his face, at the very last frame he appeared to be smiling. What's with that eh? Is this part of his plan? Is he playing the long game?

Well now there is this. Sad so very sad. Reddit link posted because the comments are mildly interesting and kept me from yelling at the screen.

I HATE SEASON CLIFFHANGER ENDINGS! There is no excuse for them. Tell your damn story in one season, and if you're fortunate enough to get picked up for another season, then tell another story. If your story is good enough, people will tune in a year later.

So here we are, with one of the most charming stories I've ever seen on TV, now hanging in the air -- possibly forever -- because Gaiman is both a creative asshole and an asshole of a human being.
