In the series it looks like there are only two fanatical crusaders and both of them are decrepit old men. Everyone else are just different stages of school bully archetypes. The forefront BoS character being so pitifully dense that he (literally, in character, not kidding) doesn't even know how his dong works. The power armor clad "knight" treats him like trash, only to show pure cowardice by childishly running from a yaoguai while begging for help. Finally proceeding to blame the guy, saying everything that went wrong was his fault.

Well... talking about the series, here are my 2 cents about it so far:

* I absolutely do love the sets they built, they are full of eastereggs most gamers will recognize. Videos like this one here are legion on Youtube.

* I also like that they have treated the franchise with respect and are taking it serious.
* The Fallout games were always drenched into dark sarcasm and taking themselves not so seriously. This attitude is mostly missing in the series, it is for most parts just a serious dystopia.
* The main characters from best to worst: ghoul, Maximus and Lucy. Walton Goggins' acting is really something else, so the other actors really have to shine on their own to compete with him. So the Ghoul is the most interesting role, while Maximus is still ok-ish, but could have been better in some areas. Lucy on the other hand is for me just bland goody-two-shoes Jane Doe being thrown into a dangerous dystopia without much depth first, typical standard game heroine stuff. She's got the least fleshed out role so far, which is by the way perfect for Fallout since in most Fallout games the main character the player steers always feels like that, while the real fun is within the side quests, to side characters.

So overall quite decent and above average.

There are lots of people who have been watching the Fallout TV series who haven't played any of the games. They often will go for whatever is the latest, namely Fallout 4 and 76. In this writer's opinion, the best choices are Fallout 3 and New Vegas, with which I agree.

My local Wal-Mart had the Lucy Maclean funko pop. Lots of FNV callbacks, like The Kings. And I would not be surprised to find out the deep voice from the darkness is a super mutant. I wonder if Felicia day will make a cameo as Veronica. And it looks like there a MULTIPLE Prydwen type airships out there.

I only recognize Felicia Day in all that, but assume it's Fallout-related.
