So, y'all made me curious and I bought the game. I've spent 2 hours on the beta. My experience so far:

So far, it plays like a game.

Anyone got some instructions I can follow to duplicate these disastrous bugs?
I did finally encounter a graphics glitch that sometimes occurs while crafting. You know how when you do crafting in Fallout 4 the camera zooms in on you and then the crafting menu comes up while your character at the crafting table gets Depth-of-field blurred out? Well, sometimes that blurred out part gets graphically corrupted looking something like a video played with mplayers ascii out mode. The menus were unaffected and everything is normal once you finish crafting.

Otherwise it was just fine on the PS4 as I said.

On the one hand, sure. Bugs, even major game breaking bugs, are only to be expected in beta releases. On the other hand, bugs that delete the entire game if you interact with the client in any way, that's a little bit special.
That wasn't a game bug, people were fucking with Bethesda's version of Steam (Which is not great) and it's already been fixed. This isn't even a top 10 of dipshit stuff I've seen game devs do. The worst I've seen was CCP games the creators of Eve online put forth a patch that at one point if you uninstalled their stupid game would brick your PC by deleting your boot.ini

So far aside from the usual beth engine physics jank the only bug I ran into was a single uncompletable quest.

Ahaha I just realized that spacedad is Goon Spacedad. He's not THAT upset considering he's been playing the entire beta period with us. In fact if you watch his streams you'll end up seeing me in several of them.

Fuck I don't remember
I will never understand why people think it invalidates criticism if you play X hours of a game. Fanboy tropes are weird.

I will never understand why people think unpredictable stuff should have been known ahead of time.

EDIT:
Or, more to the point...
Do we know (I mean KNOW know) if the game-delete bug of the Bethesda.net Launcher was discovered during closed-beta testing of Fallout 76?

Do we know (remember, KNOW know) if the actual Fallout 76 bugs and exploits found in the open-beta were even apparent during the closed-beta?

Criticize the game for having dated assets. Criticize the game for being a grind-fest of ill conceived fetch missions. Criticize the game for wedging such a huge gap between PVP and PVE that they'd have been better off just making 2 separate games.

But, criticizing a software product (Note, I didn't say "game" again) for having bugs during beta testing is just silly, at best.

Base your online game using so much code of the single player and say there's no mod support? HAHAHAHAHA

Granted it is like a lot of old WoW mods, client side only but there's no suppport for mods! /gigglesnorts

UPDATE: 24 mods listed at the Nexus as of this post's timestamp.
