OMG Willow!!! How are you!? I haven't seen you in ages!
I'm not okay! Hope you're well Tex. I have pericarditis. A fuck tonne of fluid around my heart that I can't get rid of, and it looks like another year or three if we are being optimistic. The doctors can't figure out why I keep creating unwanted fluid, so meh. I'm good with it. Spent three weeks in hossy at the end of last year. They got rid of 17 and a half kilos of fluid and a killer infection because it went undiagnosed for so many years. (It was all, stop bitching, it's menopase, deal with it, it's your lot in life). Ridding myself of that much fluid was awesome. But it keeps building up again.

Adam, my eldest and his betrothed Caitlin are expecting in January. They're having a boy! I'm so not qualified for being a grandy. But it won't be for long. :p

Latest news is that the owner is selling the rental I've been in for 17 years and I'm going to be homeless! Just found out that little pearl last Tuesday.

The boys are doing fine, although slightly freaked out that I'd rather shuffle off sooner rather than later and that that is the retirement plan.

How's shit with you? <3

Something else worth mentioning is that public perceptions often lag behind what the economy is really doing. By every objective, quantifiable metric the economy has already recovered. ...but many people don't FEEL it yet. They'll conveniently feel it once Trump takes office.... I bet anyone there will be tons of headlines and posts about how they think it's so cool Trump fixed the economy so quickly. ...which is of course actually impossible.
Fucking THIS!!!!!

Now Trump will fuck shit up, just when it was on the upswing, and we will feel it all the way over here just as we are recovering economically too.

Dammit, Willow, that sucks.

I hope the fair warning works to your advantage. Some people prefer no advance warning, but I'm of the "I'd rather know than not know" school of thought. Sending virtual bear hugs that won't make you sore.

I'm fine with it Beebs. I'm looking at ways to speed it up, quite frankly, don't want to be a burden to the boys. I now have until February.
A whole lot of stuff has come to light in the past few years. I now know why I'm agoraphobic and have been for decades.
Who knew what cousin Bradley was up to when I was three to four years old? Not me until recently.

Anyway, get back to the Trump thang.
I'll shush up again. :)

Oh, Jesus Willow that is the worst news :( I really hate to hear that. Christ :(
I'm not good with it :( Damn :( I really hope they can put their heads together and figure that shit out!
You have to advocate for your health care, because, the health care system will absolutely kill you if you don't.
I am so sorry to hear that Willow :(

New with me? Oh, God, how much time do you have? hahaha.
What's changed since we last talked?
1. Finished my Masters in Business Admin.
2. Deathly allergic to Ozempic (due to diabetes, not weight) - It caused Pancreatits - 14 days in the ER due to diabetic ketoacidosis
3. Complications from that (Atrial Fib + Insulin for diabetes) - I left my motorcycle club (on good terms).
4. Started therapy for gender issues again (the last time was in 2005). I was doing fine as long as I kept my stress level high and avoided thinking. Did you know that it went through a name change? It's not a disorder anymore! yay! lol
I've had 4 appointments where she basically made me pinky swear not to jump of a bridge lol. So, all sorts of craziness!! As an aside, therapy must be sort of effective. I can actually type that out... haha.

Is there anything I can do to help?
Are you still in SL, I'd love to login and shoot the shit with you again! I miss ya!

To discourage voter registration among minorities, a common tactic is to drastically limit the locations in which they can register and to set hours that are difficult for working people to catch without missing work. That creates a powerful financial disincentive to even register. The GOP extends that same tactic to voting itself -- such as creating fewer voting precincts and assigning fewer machines in minority communities, so there are long waits.
Deep South states also move and reassign polling locations frequently. We do this especially where Democrats are the primary voting group. Voters, who made the effort, are told that they now vote across town, or in the next town, and are effectively discouraged to make the further effort.

I'm sure we would never be able to correlate the prevalence of this practice in a given precinct with the average skin tone of the residents of said precinct.

We absolutely can. We're required to submit obviously racially biased voting maps to the District Court for approval. And they are sometimes rejected the first round but eventually condoned. There is this though. Hope Eternal

Problem is, at some point the Conservative Heritage Foundation courts just put in new submission boxes for these "racially biased" districts.

FACT CHECK: No, Elon Musk Did Not Ban Stephen King From X

This claim is inaccurate. King’s X account is still active at the time of writing. Additionally, there are no credible news reports to corroborate the claim. (RELATED: Image Edited To Show Stephen King With A Pro-Palestine T-Shirt)

The claim was originally posted by a Facebook account called SpaceX Fanclub, showing a label in the top left corner that says “rated satire.” This account’s bio reads, “We post SATIRE, nothing on this page is real.” The claim was also posted in the form of an article on a site called Esspots, where it is also labeled as satire. The site also contains a “disclaimer” that says, in part, “Before you proceed to read our content, we would like to emphasize that nothing on this website is real.”
I had heard that he posted a pic of Musk in a pink tutu and called him "Elonia".

I'm disappointed it's not true :D

Trump picks Huckabee as Israel envoy

Let's see what Aeon Jiminy 's choice for ambassador to Israel thinks of Palestine.

Wikipedia said:
Huckabee calls Israel an "ally", "America's greatest friend in the region", and says Israel should have access to advanced weapons and technology. He is a Christian Zionist politician, and has written that, "the Jews have a God-given right to reclaim land given to their ancestors and taken away from them."

Huckabee opposes the notion of Palestinian statehood in the Holy Land. Huckabee encourages West Bank settlements which are illegal under international law, and has gone so far as to deny Israel's existing military occupation in the region. In 2017, at an event in the West Bank, he stated: "There is no such thing as a West Bank - it's Judea and Samaria. There's no such thing as a settlement. They're communities. They're neighborhoods. They're cities. There's no such thing as an occupation."

Huckabee first visited Israel as a teenager, and has returned numerous times since then. During some of his visits he expressed his support for Israeli settlements in the Israeli-occupied West Bank, stating that Jews "should be able to live in their own country."
Oh.

Oh.
Yeah, every single signal I have seen is Trump is just going to hand Palestine to Israel.

But you know, it was probably a good idea for a bunch of jackasses to not vote because Harris didn't pick "the right side" on this one issue happening on the other side of the planet that has been happening for like 100+ years.

That guy? I think he just stopped posting here until the next election.
I can't beleive Trump won AGAIN with 99% of the votes!!!!
