So it appears that instead of adopting a cat, I adopted a honey badger disguised as a cat. He is constantly doing
SOMETHING.
Whether it's killing beta fish, pooping under the Xmas tree, hiding in the Xmas tree, knocking things off the counter, stealing hearing aids, running around the house like a nut case or jumping on me several times during the night. He looks so innocent and he purrs when you pick him up and hug him but I'm telling you, he's a Honey Badger.
This morning was another "great escape". I keep my cats indoors because we have dangerous stuff in Florida. Like bears, wild pigs, foxes and worst of all, coyotes. Not to mention traffic work that has redirected people through our neighborhood and most of them have no respect and drive twice the speed limit.
My fur babies have the Lanai to hang out in and also a Catio, a screened in area next to the lanai. This morning, I woke to find that Felix had escaped. The people who lived here before had a dog door in the lanai. I kept it locked but somehow, it became unlocked and he discovered it. I don't know how long the little bugger has been exiting and returning but I'm betting he's been at it for a while.

I relocked the door and now every time I look at him he's giving me the feline stink eye.
Felix, the great escape artist.
