California attempting to ban automated accounts/bots

Can’t spot the bot? In California, automated accounts have to reveal themselves

This would definitely affect SL. Right now registering your accounts as a Scripted Agent is opt-in. If this comes to pass, it appears as though all bots that interact with anyone would be required to state they are not a human.

So that excludes NPC bots, and Tyche's survey bots, but what about all those AI bots scamming for Lindens?

Not to mention ones trying to game traffic (successful or not). A good case could be made the whole reason for them is to incentivize the purchase of goods.
