I just watched the first 2 episodes. Oh. My. God. I am completely in on what they're doing here.

I was not a big fan of the Rebels animated show, but I enjoyed some of it. This is very much a sequel to that show, but blown out in live action in a number of very interesting ways. Ways I like. A lot.

If they keep things going through the full 8 episode arc of the first season, this might be epic.

I'm not as big a Star Wars nerd as my roommate, but I did watch 'Rebels' and its nice to see how the story picks up from there with the same characters.

The first two episodes, though... pretty but the pacing was deliberately slow. They made me think of this scene in 'City Island' (Andy Garcia's character is taking acting lessons from a character played by Alan Arkin... who goes off on a frustrated rant about actors putting 'pauses' into dialog).

Watched episode 6 last night. I'm enjoying Ahsoka a lot. Not what I was expecting, but then I'm not sure what I was expecting. It's sort of the live action Rebels some were asking for (but I'm sure are now bitching about...), but they've been delving into a lot of new territory for Star Wars.

I was sitting there as she's first speaking to Morgan Elsbeth, and hearing her voice I started shouting "Is that f*cking Claudia Black?"" I was a little overexcited as I didn't know she was on the show until that moment.

I just found out that Ray Stevenson (Baylan Skoll) died in May.

Damn, this sucks.

Baylan was a standout character in the series, and mostly due to Ray Stevenson's portrayal of him.

Oh damn, that sucks. He was one of my favorite characters of the show. He felt a lot like Dooku, which is one ofy favorites from the films.
