This came out in July, but seems relevant to this thread.
Psychic healing and ghosts top Americans' paranormal beliefs, while most reject concepts like witches, astrology and reincarnation.

A couple things I'd feel the need to point out:
* The claim of skepticism winning out is a bit of a mirage here in a few cases. 48% accept that psychic or spiritual healing works, which is more than enough of a percentage to outweigh the 32% of those who outright don't believe. Belief/Nonbelief in the existence of ghosts is almost a wash.
* Witches are
NOT a paranormal phenomena! Ok, women in wide-brimmed, pointed conical hats dancing around fires at midnight, riding flying broomsticks and casting effective spells is claptrap from a bygone age, but saying witches aren't real is like refusing to believe Catholics exist because you don't accept the claim Jesus was raised from the dead. Don't need a trip to the Vatican, and shouldn't need a visit to Salem Massachusetts, to show the reality of both groups.
