The about.google page is all about the "agentic Gemini era" for Google I/O.
A section lower on the page notes how "Intelligent eyewear is coming this fall." I'm not sure why they're desperate to rename smart glasses. Or, maybe I do.

I have noticed Gemini getting better with coding in particular. First time I tried to ask it coding questions it gave me weird hallucinations that gave commands that didn't exist.
Just a little while ago, it gave me an actually functional script I could modify to add a feature for a game mod I made. It was also very concise code, not full of bloat so I could actually read it and know what it was doing.
...that said, I'm not super enthusiastic about all google is doing with AI. I'm VERY annoyed that Gemini also tries to recommend responses to emails in Gmail that are often in there by default, I have to manually delete them. ...which is really obnoxious. Especially obnoxious since the responses are often dumb.
