I'm perfectly happy with my king, thank you very much. I'd prefer a ceremonial president, like they have in Ireland or Germany, but give me a constitutional monarch in a parliamentary democracy over an executive head of state any time.

I don't think you need to worry - the last time Americans said "no kings", George III actually remained king, banned the trans-Atlantic slave trade and died in his bed as an old man in 1820.

I have not seen any totals. Yesterday it was "thousands." Today it is "millions," but not, so far as I have seen, "x million."

An organizer for the nationwide “No Kings” protests is signaling even more to come.

Ezra Levin — the co-founder of Indivisible, which helped organize the recent rallies against President Donald Trump and his policies — told The Bulwark that a third round will be in the future.
