Fuck I don't remember
I’m not saying we’re 100% heading for a produce shortage. But...

God help this country if the casinos go bust.

Yes he is. I have never actually been to one but it is a comfort just knowing they are there.

GIANTmicrobes will donate 5% of your purchase to one of these charities supporting healthcare workers who need essential supplies, vulnerable families who need care and children who are losing healthy meals due to school closings: The UN Foundation’s COVID-19 Response Fund, the Gates Combating COVID-19 Fund, GlobalGiving’s Coronavirus Relief Fund and No Kid Hungry.

This doesn't, I was relieved to learn after re-reading the article, seem to mean that Amazon is suspending or de-listing anything.

I don't understand how the Amazon distribution system works, but the policy affects only third party sellers using Amazon Logistics to deliver the goods.

They will still be able to sell via Amazon but that particular form of distribution will no longer be available.

Presumably this means, for example, anything that's currently available through Amazon Prime will be unaffected, and probably many other items, too.
Many third-party sellers store their inventory in Amazon warehouses. That way the items can be packed with other items in an order, and delivered by Amazon's efficient delivery network. For smaller sellers, or international merchants, it is more efficient than trying to deliver stuff themselves. With the current pandemic, Amazon is seeing a surge for certain items. So what it appears they are doing is temporarily not accepting third-party items to their warehouses, except for high demand/necessity type things. This is to make more room for the important things, and free up warehouse workers' time to process those items.

Well I finally convinced my daughter to get on a plane to Thailand from Vietnam. She's going to now be hunkering down on a resort island off the coast. My worry index about her is coming down just a notch.
My niece came back from Vietnam in February. She was sick (flu?) through most of her 3 week stay and her plane back was diverted to South Korea. Anyhoo, glad your daughter found a place to hunker down.
