Well... the contract contained blackened parts, which have been de-blacked now.
Aside that the contract does not contain a legally binding clause to deliver a certain amount until a certain deadline, instead only best reasonable efforts. This is exactly the type of behaviour which is typically von der Leyen, and why I was glad to see her go. Nobody back then saw COVID19 coming, and that she'll play a crucial role again that way.
She's full of hot air and nothing more. She's white ignorant privilege made flesh, her father already was prime minister of Lower Saxonia. She's got 7 children and always gave the impression in the national press, that she's some kind of super woman doing her job and education of her children on her own with ease. Nope, she got a nanny, money is no problem in her family. She's a blowhard, a windbag par excellence.
Every time she took a new position it was always the same with her: promising amazing things, positioning herself as big reform lady, hiring tons of consultants which basically are saying the obvious, failing in her job but before she gets fired she's moving on to the next position.
Since she's been in Germany secretary of family, later work and then defense this is her last position she'll take probably. After that she's in political retirement, that's the difference.
