I'm in world just about everyday. Tinkering with new looks/avies, chatting with friends, rp at goblin kingdom. Or often growing frustrated as I rebuild my haunted house attraction from the ground up >.<

I log Tony in at least once a week and pay his life stipend to Khamon, because that's the cashout account, then examine the for sale map out of curiosity. Also have a sky platform in Taber that I clunk around on any given day.

Do want to see Haunted House and Goblin Kingdom.

My alt has been hired by an rl business to assist in making content for virtual worlds, including SL, in return for US rather than L$, which keeps my alt very busy but doesn't leave me much time for SL as me.

I had to sign an NDA in blood at a crossroads at midnight, so I'm very limited in what I can safely say other than that some private organisations use virtual reality, including SL, for their own projects and, when they do, they need scripted content.

I am inworld everyday, building, setting up for events, chatting, roleplaying or admining. Not as excessive as it used to be, and often I am multitasking and working on other things IRL, but I still spend a couple of hours per day (or rather night) in SL.

Over time, I have tried different activities in sl. Starting from designing an avatar (which I found more difficult with time), some landscaping, sailing, visiting exhibitions and concerts, admiring great made sl-places...I still do sometimes, but not regularly...

I'm online every day unless I'm travelling, and even when I'm overseas I try to log in every other day if just to keep in touch with a couple of friends. I build, or at least assemble stuff, I shop, I shop some more, I play dress up with me and my alts. Mostly I build roleplay spaces and stuff them into rezzers so that I can have more and more places to play. Then I go exploring and shopping.

Thanks for the offer but it's not necessary. My backup works as far as I know. It worked fine last time I booted it up, about 3 years ago. It will probably take all day and maybe all night too to get it updated. Not looking forward to that.

I am usually on (an alt) at least once a day doing one of the Builders Brewery classes.

The main one is the Blender for SL class, which is pretty good so far. I also have started making random script based projects to get better at scripting, which I have gotten pretty decent at.

Outside of SL I have been doing a lot of Black Desert Online.

Can you tell me or give me a link on where you found the Blender for SL class? I REALLY need some help using it and most of the things I find are no specific to SL.

I log in several times a week, still. Weekends are times spent with my SL partner of almost 8 years. We check out shopping events, explore sims and check out live music, sometimes. During the week, I often log in to shop or take photos. Taking photos in SL is one of my favorite hobbies, and I recently got a new PC after 6 years, so it's made things a bit more 'fun' again since my old computer was barely keeping up with work much less SL. My partner and I recently changed lands, so I've been decorating the new place. We have an unspoken, more or less, agreement that he does the outside landscaping/building/decorating and I do the home and inside whenever we move. Between us, we have more SL houses than anyone should. He builds and has a store, too, so there are those builds, also.

I keep telling myself I need to socialize more, or chat with some people on my friends list, but then I get caught up with photos or shopping, and never actually do.

WolfEyes , the graphics card off my old PC is still pretty decent, I think, so if you need one, let me know. I'll send it out to you. I forget what it is (Nvidia/GE Force something), but my son will remember so I can ask him when he gets home if you wanted to give it a try.

You would want to find the Series A class, it looks like there is one going on on Saturdays but it's a few sessions on. They repeat though, on different times and days. For example, I am doing the Thursday series (Pre-B currently).

I don't know a lot about Blender, but the classes are specifically designed around optimizing for SL, with certain settings and whatnot.

There is also Blender Benders, but I have not taken their classes. I think series on there is called Green.

I decided to dump my in world store. It basically doesn't sell anything. I plan to just build a little sort of hang out area there, like I used to have with the diner. I already put up a little skate park. It's next to a vehicle Rez area so it's nice to have a meet point for people there.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind once I can start swapping parts out to confirm it is the GPU and not the harddrive. That means updating the backup (noooo I doan wanna!) first. A project I hope to tackle this week. I'm still recovering from adhesive capsulitis in my right shoulder this time. Bad thing about having it in the right shoulder is I already have it in the left shoulder. I think I mentioned the left shoulder a couple of years before VVO was born.

I have been playing SL quite a bit more since the Pandemic hit. I alternate between being really active and taking a break for a a few months. I usually do Equestrian based roleplay and attend Equestrian related events. Since I am currently horseless and barnless in RL (recently moved to a new country to be with my partner and waiting for some things to come in so I can get a job and then hopefully get back into riding again) this fill my Equestrian need lol.

Half of me says load up with twice as much RAM as you need, assign half of it to a RAMdisk, and point the cache to that. =^-^=

I used to do that, and then I got gifted with a hardware ramdisk with a bad battery backup and used that, it survived as long as the computer was plugged in (even if off) and power outages of less than 20 minutes or so. But SSD is fast enough you can't tell the difference.

Speaking of SSD's, I have a 500 GB nearly-new SSD drive from a failed upgrade project lying around. Someone please throw bricks or something at me for thinking it would be worthwhile to upgrade a 10 year old machine!
