What is the oldest picture of yourself in Second Life?

yes, they are common in MMORPG's, but weird to hear about one in SL...

It's been too many years so I'm not sure if I was afraid of being banned for multiple alts (at one point I had 24 of them) or if I did things on other accounts because I was afraid of being hacked (and figured that I could always fall back on that one).

not saying it's "wrong" to have one in SL, just that your inventory is basically infinite in SL, while most MMORPG's restrict it.

No, I was worried that by being out (and around the grid) Bad Things (hacking, banning -not sure 16 years later ) would happen to the out and about account, also I'd buy Lindens with Han and transfer them to the alts. Attackers wouldn't know about Han so they wouldn't get into (or ban, or whatever) Han and if they did ban/hack/whatever my alts I had like a zillion more and they wouldn't get my banking/payment info so no loss.

Not saying it makes sense; I'm saying that was my thinking. Eventually I realized I was just giving myself more hassle so I simply switched completely.

Yeah, though in WoW you could use them for both I think. Plus they could be part of a private guild with a shared vault for shared storage.

you're both right that it was more about storage than "banking." Both everquest and WoW added guild banks but started out without them.

I was four days old:

At the first SL nightclub/dance I'd ever been to, after the dance was over. There hadn't been many avatars to show up, so it ended quickly. Also, I didn't yet know how to use the viewer's camera, so this was taken using ALT-PrtSc.

I used to hang out at Carnage (apparently, I think I remember it), but more so Club Industry. And Ahern. I haven't been in SL in so long that I'm sure I lost my mainland parcel due to nonpayment of my premium fees, despite having enough SL bucks to pay for it. The 2020 photo was taken on the transparent balcony of my workshop. That's where I lived. Next to the Ivory Tower.

MY VVO title is from a song that was released in 2021, so I apparently visited here in 2021. How's it been?
