I'm also listening to Matthew Coleridge's Requiem. On a whim I signed up to "Requiem in a day" locally in which an impromptu choir rehearse all day and then perform the piece in the evening. It's beautiful. It's been some time since I did any formal singing, but I'm looking forward to it - and trying to get ahead of the game by learning my part in advance. I was a soprano in school, when I did a lot of singing, but have become an alto now... and wonder if I will be able to hold the line and resist being drawn into the sopranos!
