This is especially disturbing since it seems especially likely to be relevant for cases when an abortion is medically necessary. I used to work with programs to help pregnant women get preventive care, so I wish a lot more people understood that giving birth is probably the most dangerous medical event relative to how "routine" it is.
Not only are medically necessary abortions not extremely rare, they can be catastrophic if not performed when needed.
EDIT: I of course mean it's disturbing that they'd try. Not that the judge blocked it.
And of course there's this person (won't call her a lady) who is very much a Trumpette and has worked for decades against both abortion and lgbtq+ rights... if she has her way, even if abortion remains technically legal, most won't be able to get one due to the so-called heartbeat law which was signed into law in Ohio recently and is now being contested in the courts:

Porter’s work thrusts her right on to the frontlines of America’s culture wars. When the Guardian interviewed her, she insisted the location of the interview not be disclosed. She said she has remained cautious about personal safety since, as a young lobbyist, her Porsche was set on fire.
Many Christian extremists like this specimen (ETA Pedo apologist) who grew up middle class or better have no clue what life can be like for impoverished mothers who must make heart breaking choices.
Oh yes I noticed that too and it's all part of the disgusting truth about that sort of activist. They are obsessed and can't be reasoned with, working on one hand to make abortion and, in this case, most likely contraception as well, unavailable and on the other hand, doing their best to undermine and even eliminate social safety nets so that all those babies they want to be born grow up without them. Typical of many patriarchal religions, the goal is to have more of the same supporting the religion through money and bodies and who cares who suffers to make that institution continue on? To achieve this, it is absolutely mandatory that the female reproduction system (and the male's, though to a much lesser degree) is completely under their control. The hilarious part of this is that Trump doesn't even care about abortion one way or another, at least legal abortions. Rich, privileged men like him can always find a doctor to pay to take care of any "problems" that come up with their sexual encounters' aftermath. They are both using each other at this point. The whole issue about hating lgbqt+ people and the filthy practice known as conversion therapy goes hand in hand with this since if you are gay, then the theory is that you either won't produce offspring or at least will have fewer children. Another big problem for the be fruitful and multiply type authoritarians.

I never could understand why cis males think they had anything of value to offer to the conversation, especially dictating the answer to others. As far as I am concerned the only people who should have a say in this are people who can get pregnant. If they want to consult their doctor or someone else, fine, but strangers who can not bear children do not get a say.
"Yes!" I scream impotently, "It's a helpless human being! It does not have the right to use the body of another human being, even if its life depends on it."
