Too many Tags

Hiya! It seems there are tags on so many objects when I go some places in SL, or whatever they are called, that show what the object is, who owns it, prim etc, and they get in the way of looking around and reading chat. Those little boxes appear everywhere I move the mouse and get in the way of everything. Is there a way to turn them off or at least minimize them? Thanks.
