I remember seeing that appearance with Lady Gaga - and having been around people with Alzheimer's, I can't help but feel like his soul is glad to be free of having his body and brain fail him so badly at the end.

Still, its a sad day.

My uncle (musician drummer) met him and showed him around Montreal. Brought him to a place so he could get a suit made for him. He said he was just as nice in person - a real gentleman.

I have a fond memory of my love Annie and myself watching the concert on tv with him and Lady Gaga. We both loved it very much. She died too, back in January.
