I'm tentatively checking into a computer upgrade. Given the significant expense where I live, I'm seeking input about your experiences/recommendations. I'm torn between the new generation Intel corei7 (Intel has been my usual goto for years) VS. the latest Amd. Older AMD versions had their own heat issues lol, from what I recall, so I steered clear of them in the past.
I've read that new generation Intels are running very hot at present and that the AMD has leaped ahead in terms of performance, heat issues and gaming. I'd likely be pairing it with an Nvidia Geforce 4080 gpu.
Does anyone feel comfortable sharing your use experiences, your knowledge/comparison between the two? I'd appreciate the input very much to prevent a super expensive headache. Usage = writing, internet, and games like MMO/WOW style as well as SL creation at times.
