That is bullshit. RuPaul has never claimed to be a spokesperson for the trans community, as he is not trans. What he has said in the past is that the term you are referring to has widely been used in the drag community, and he doesn't have a problem with it being used as a non-pejorative . He has also expressed his feelings about having trans women compete as drag queens on the show (there have been several contenstants who later came out as trans, and this year, Gia Gunn was on All Stars 4 as a trans woman). You continue to rage against RuPaul as being some evil person, which is just utterly ridiculous. You can think what you want, but it doesn't mean that it's accurate or fair.Ru puts himself forward as a spokesman for the transgendered community. While I can see non-trans people making the mistake he makes no attempt at correcting them. It would be as if someone assumed I was an african american and I did not correct them. However to REALLY make it the same I would have to tell them it was just fine for them to use the N word, as he goes around, as a self-appointed spokesman, saying the trans equivalent term is ok to use. I consider him worse than straight-acting LGBTs as most of the time they are not directly harming the community.
