So totally dumb and probably doesn't mean anything, but it came up in Duolingo the other day that "Cola" can mean "line" in Spanish. Which really got me thinking of the possible hidden meaning behind "Coca-cola". Like it literally could mean "Cocaine Line".
Well, the inventor of Coca-cola was addicted to morphine and was trying to find anything to break his addiction while still ease his battle injury pain. Which was one of the reasons he was playing around with coca. And various other things, some of which were toxic. He died at 57 from stomach cancer. No idea if he ever snorted any of his test product.
ETA: Another aside, also, apparently, he'd created a wine that mixed alcohol with cocaine before creating a soft drink.
