So, after a long conversation with chatgpt, in which it recommended countless books I've already read and loved, and also using it as a sounding board to help me shape a story I've been wanting to read, even if I have to write it myself... It found a match for me: Emma Mieko Candon's "The Archive Undying". (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Archive_Undying ) Which is all kinds of unreal. Gigantic territorial mega municipal AI's, gone mad and destructive, human supplicants, corrupted memory and "neurotransitive" influences... Modified Humans as programmable peripherals sorta.

I'm doing something new with this book. Normally I pick out instrumental/non-intrusive background music to mask distractions and help me stay focusrd on the pages, but I've been having so much fun generating music with suno.ai... and chatgpt got me into this book in the first place. So, I've had chat gpt write some prompts to create ambient background music flavored to match certain characters, locations and demi-god level ai /super mechs from the book.

And I'm absolutely loving it. I gotta skip a track once on a while when a theme starts and its counterpart isn't in the section I'm reading at the moment, but most tracks are general enough to suffice.

It's a new (to me) kind of immersion that I worry I may already be hopelessly addicted to. :)
