More like 4 joints per finger, odd articulation. On the other hand, if you've wanted to rp a human face hugger, now you got the finger legs to scamper around on!

Well, here we are a week past the launch date. The sim is up but restricted to group only. Group membership currently is $100 L. To be able to purchase all Nhumana products, one must purchase the CORE which retails for $200 L or $100 L for group members. The full body is still $5000 L with no group discount. The light version is still free.
The sim is showing 3175 traffic yet there is no one but me there. I will update traffic tomorrow as it seems artificially high.
Sim will be down and "updated" on the 8th and reopened on the 9th to everyone. Hopefully they will remove the invisible barrier I encountered and put some signs/lights up so one can figure out how to get tp the body/core vendors easier.

The NHUMANA__C O R E__1.3 is an attachment that by default takes the R Upper Arm spot. It contains a single script called ..*BoSH*..Resizer PLUS Stretch and is No Mod and No Transfer.

UPDATE 3

She's a bit hefty. I used my own default shape instead of one of the 10 included. Pics will be the next post as I edit them. Neck lines up nicely with the AK head I'm using atm, BOM skins work nice and I'm using one from DAE but just about any should work fine with this body if it works with Lara X.
Outfits: yeah, nothing fits from the Maitreya/Lara X line. The light version has just FLAT and MID feet as options and those don't line up at all with shoes for those on Maitreya body. I've not BOM/SYSTEM clothing on this alt so no idea how those may look.
Overall the body looks nice but may be a big hips/ass avatar but of more realistic proportions. I used my own shape for the comparison and did not see the boob crush look. I suspect that was a look for the launch but the shop that had clothing for it did not show any crushing boob syndrome.
Given the limited clothing atm, I'm not really experimenting with this much as I'd like. The 5K price of the full body is steep for entry level people and no telling if this is going to bloom in popularity or fade off like the cardboard avatars are doing now.
I guess June 9th will give a better idea of support for the body.

1. BANDWIDTH CONFIGURATION — PERFORMANCE OPTIMIZATION
NHUMA is designed to operate with advanced technologies, including high-resolution 2038x2048 textures and ultra-fast next-generation scripts.
To properly support these systems, it is essential to configure your viewer as follows:

Open the Second Life Viewer and go to Preferences

Click on Network & Files, then select Connection

Under Maximum Bandwidth, set the value to 3000 kbps (the maximum allowed)

This setup ensures fast texture loading, stable HUD data transmission, and eliminates delays.

2. WEARING THE BODY — COMPLETE INITIALIZATION INSTRUCTIONS
A. Remove Legacy Content
On login, make sure you’re not wearing default Second Life clothing or body parts. These outdated layers are often worn automatically and can cause visual conflicts.
Go to Inventory > Clothing and remove items such as “Default Eyes”, “System Underwear”, or “Old Skins”.

B. Wear the Main Components
From the NHUMA folder, wear:

The NHUMA mesh body

The NHUMA Control HUD (make sure it matches your body version)

C. Apply the Appearance
Choose one of our preconfigured and editable SHAPEs

Apply a Bakes on Mesh (BOM) skin designed specifically for NHUMA
Other generic skins may work, but only those created for NHUMA guarantee optimal results.
Feel free to use your personal SHAPE — NHUMA imposes no restrictions.

D. Alpha Layers and Cleanup
Wear the provided BOM alpha layers to hide remaining system body parts (eyes, lashes, scalp)

While optional, they are recommended for a cleaner result.

E. Compatibility with Mesh Heads
NHUMA is compatible with most modern mesh heads, including:

Lelutka Evolution / EvoX

Catwa HDPRO and Classic

Genus Project

GA.EG, LOGO, and others
Note: Older generation heads may not be fully compatible. Always test the combination before regular use.

3. HUD FEATURES — COMPLETE CUSTOMIZATION GUIDE
The NHUMA HUD is the main tool for customizing your avatar body. It functions only when the NHUMA body is worn.
The interface is clean, intuitive, and divided into four main panels:

A. HOME Panel
General HUD settings

Enable/disable hand animations (typing, gestures, etc.)

Ankle Lock to stabilize foot position

Direct access to user manuals

B. HANDS & FEET Panel
Choose foot height (flat, mid, high, etc.)

Select nail shape

Customize nail polish color

C. SETTINGS Panel
Use the top tabs to access specific sections:

For the best aesthetics and functionality, only use clothing, accessories, BOM layers, skins, and shoes specifically designed for NHUMA.
Items created for other mesh bodies (e.g., Maitreya, Legacy, Kupra) are not compatible unless explicitly rigged for NHUMA.
Inside your HUD, you will find a section dedicated to Verified Designers — creators who received the official NHUMA Developer Kit.
We recommend supporting them for consistent and guaranteed quality.

The main driver on mesh bodies for me is whether there are clothes available. I have 125k inventory full of shoes, hair and outfits that I do NOT want to ditch.

I still have Larax in my inventory but there's so litttle clothing available.

Yeah, that's a crazy driver for me too. I changed from Lara to Legacy on one avatar and Link to Reborn on another but it took me a while to stop going back because I was satisfied with my cloths selection.

Parthenon is a bit shorter with the Petite X body. The front view is pretty close to lined up with camera angle and position and shows the slight height change despite the same shape used.

We’ve optimized texture handling and improved the alpha-cut system, making it more responsive even in complex scenarios. Bugs identified during last week’s testing phase have been analyzed and fixed, resulting in better speed, stability, and overall body performance.
