head to neck seams are a very common problem area... LOTS of people wear collars of some sort for this reason. I kind of just ignore it, lol. I don't know that I have an easy fix. You can also search the marketplace for "Neck blender."

My alts always wear full mesh bodies including heads like Altamura...

No neck seam but sadly also almost no Altamura rigged fitmesh clothing...

Pick your poison!

Yes I noticed not many clothes for the altamura ! Its not a bad body to be fair, especially for free. I wanted to set him up with something thats compatible with lots of clothing - makes it easier for him I think.

Ah yes I hadnt thought about a lbender thanks ! I use the one on the maitreya hud and the catwa hud , so perhaps if he buys the full head not a demo, that might be included. Tanks !

On the Lelutka Discord, I've seen them telling people what they have to do to get heads to fit with bodies. Also, the Lelutka Evo X heads have a neck blender built in. They have some pretty cool male heads.
I hear Catwa had some good ones too. Your friends should grab some demos, or you demo them, and ask whatever questions you need to.
Here's the sort of advice I see in the Lelutka Discord, maybe it will help illustrate.
It could be. Neck seams usually come from a few main things. Body not fitting with the head, incorrect neck size in body HUD, mismatched skins, incorrectly layered BOM layers, mismatched materials (usually only happens if you apply 3rd party materials) mismatched skins, out of date body skins, wearing a neck blender by accident, etc

There's a few things on that list that could be the issue I'm seeing - thanks so much ! I've stayed away from Lelutka probably because of the issues my friend had with the female items , I just mentally ticked them off my list.
I had a response from a chap on my blog and he also mentioned Onupup, might give that a whirl also.

I haven't had any problems with my Evo X head, except for the sort you can get from anything in SL (HUD freeze, for example).
Izzie's has a lot of concealers and correctors for skin issues including neck blenders, as do other creators. Offhand, I can't think of a reason these wouldn't work as well with male skins as with female.
Again, demos.

So I decided to go with a slink body & head - as Ive had them in the past for a female av - got totally confused. Bought the big bundle in store. I just cant for the life of me work out how to use the redux body, so have used the original that came in the box. Now I cant find a body skin with a slink head applier? I bought the Omega system which was great but it wouldnt work with the Slink Finn head? (thinking thats because its redux?)
I had to log out last night as I got SO frustrated with it all :-(
Really liked the Birth skin I demo'd but of course no Slink head applier - even had a go at entering the RGB numbers that Birth gives out - didnt match at ALL.

Im so bummed right now ;(

I am not in a position to help with that body but you should have a number of relies when the Americans wake up.

That said, in case this hasn't been mentioned, there’s this thing now called Bakes On Mesh (BOM), where you can wear your skins the old school way and if the body and head have the BOM feature turned on (usually a hud button) they will appear on the mesh.

or the mesh will turn invisible because you are wearing a body alpha, in which case remove the alpha.

Some other nerd will have to help you with the appliers.

OR! You could go to the Slink store and see if any rando there can help you out. Make a new friend!

I got overloaded with it all I think ! Each time I had him wear the redux slink body I couldnt alpha out anything - last night I thought about BOM and thought DUH why didnt you think about that ! So will look into it later this evening. Thanks Kamilah <3
Ive just used my catwa head & maitreya body for so long its SO weird trying to sort a guy out !

Easiest in finding clothing is using the Gianni body IMHO.
Up until now I never saw male clothing of the middle of the road kind I'm looking for, that did not include a Signature Gianni fit.
And it isn't totally gorilla style either.

I'm still on a classic head, because I don't like cosmetic surgery. I want to keep the Sid look.

I think all of Slink's mesh bodies and heads use Bakes-on-Mesh (BoM, aka old-school system clothing/skin layers) now. For any Slink Redux product it should be as simple as wearing the body/head, then wearing the skin/tattoo you need. Alpha layers work the same way too.

Yes - the way Slink's done things, the Redux version of their bodies/heads have no applier support at all, Omega or otherwise. The "classic" bodies/heads are for appliers only, no BoM support.

Belleza Jake, Legacy (not necessairly the athletic version as that's got some irregularities with some of the rigging) and Signature Gianni are the 3 most popular bodies. All of those work seamlessly now with Catwa and Lelutka heads. Any other combo is likely to be limiting in terms of compatible skins, compatible clothing or just technical issues.
Slink body is little supported these days in male clothing.
