"Incels" having plastic surgery

By far the biggest turnoff for me when someone describes themselves as an incel is not their looks that they are so consumed with but what is between their ears. Most seem to think that they have a god-given right to have *any* woman they so choose. If rebuffed they feel rage. First and foremost they believe that the women they are entitled to have must be the definition of beautiful, submissive and ready to drop their pants at a moment's notice, alongside the usual cooking and cleaning for their overgrown children behavior. That is the criteria; purely superficial and one-sided as though the woman is not even human but just a doll.

Nor, while they are quite happy to complain about their lack of prowess, do they seem willing to make themselves more desirable instead preferring to blame the object of their desires.

We are not objects and people can observe when another person believes them to be one, explaining their failures.

Yup, as soon as they realise it’s involuntary, it becomes more and more intentional with every excuse they make.

They don't seem to realize it, though. To them, it's always the "Chads'" and the "Stacys'" fault.
Bizarrely, they continue to think of themselves as great guys who are being unfairly snubbed.

To be sure, those of us who were born in the 1950s saw quite a lot of movie stars, athletes, models and entertainers on TV, billboards and in movies, but images presented by these media were nowhere so ubiquitous as are the images on our laptops and smartphones, and neither were we expected to try to compete with them on a notionally level playing field by presenting carefully curated versions of ourselves on social media, thus setting ourselves up (at least in our own minds) for failure because we simply don't all look like supermodels or actors, and certainly exposing ourselves to the risk of cruel mockery by our peers.

Yeah today's pop-culture message is: "You gotta have leading man looks or make a show of alpha-male dominance over your pack of loyal men" to impress the girls.

And if it's the latter, it seems like you gotta look like, other than hygiene, you're making no effort at all to look handsome, because that undermines your illusion of supreme confidence.
