One thing I love about Discord is you can be in multiple servers at the same time. Also, as long as the server supports it, you can have a different name on each server separate from your underlying user name.

We've been using it for our tabletop rpg groups, even if we're using roll20 too - the voice is a lot better, for one thing, and being able to split off things is wonderful.
