That zoom control looks interesting.
On the Mac I was using the magic trackpad, and zoom was to hold the control (?) key and two-finger swipe up/down on the trackpad, if I recall, and since I'm going blind I got used to doing that habitually, and the Mac is really good at scaling text while zoomed.
On the PC I have to opt-+ to bring up the screen magnifier, and then from there I can control-alt mouse scroll to zoom. It's not nearly as convenient, but I've gotten used to it. But the problem is that in the year of our lord 2024 Microsoft still cannot scale text competently. I have a higher resolution monitor now than I did in 2018 on the Mac, specifically to give me more pixels for zooming text, and zoomed text still looks like crap on a PC, in 2024.
I really wish Microsoft would just steal more from Apple.
(although right now it doesn't look bad, which means either I've gotten used to it or maybe it actually improved and I didn't notice?)
