Has anyone else seen it yet? I give it a solid B.
They need to either reboot Halloween, so that the original murder is committed in the early 2000s, or Michael Myers needs a protégé - since the character is now 61. He's getting a bit long in the tooth.
My biggest problem is 1) Why is Lori Strode still living in Haddonfield 40 years later? All the happy memories? But, since she and Michael are no longer siblings - she had to be there for her and Michael to cross paths since he's no longer specifically after her and her family. 2) The podcast/documentary makers having a conversation with Michael's back. I know his face is supposed to be a big fucking mystery, but seriously - if I'm talking to someone I go and stand in front of them. 3) The mask. That's fucking evidence. There's no way the attorney general would let them have it, and they give almost mystical properties to the mask - he senses the mask - the other people in the mental institution react to the mask... 4) I would have had one of the two podcaster survive to tell the story.
