Thread. This made me so angry I almost commented, but I didn't want to get into it with the woo-woo crowd.
Does this person not realize that people are told these things, and try these things, before turning to meds? And that often it's not enough to exercise, think positive, smile more, or whatever the platitudes-of-the-moment are?
The real inconvenient truth is that antidepressants are necessary more often than she wants to think.

Yeah, I looked her up, low and behold she has no qualifications. It's a major pet peeve of mine when someone tries to refute a strawman position nobody holds. NOBODY wants to bee line to medication they might not need.

I'm schizophrenic, and on some mental health forums and subreddits and we regularly get complete morons who want to proudly offer their unsolicited, dumb advice.
