I blame the DOP... it’s so dark even the editor and colourist can’t see what’s going on!

Okay when the Hound said to Sansa - I heard you were broken in, broken in rough.... was he basically confessing he wanted her for himself, but he wouldn't have been rough with her? Because as much as I adore the Hound....ewwwwwwwww

I feel like he now actually has a chance of ending up on the throne, but only if the other two die and the Lords of Westeros choose to respect his legitimization. They certainly wouldn't have to, given that Dany was only a claimant to the Iron Throne at the time.
How many Lords are there left? Hornhill? I guess their is Sam. Nobody is at High Garden. Nobody is at the Twins. Nobody is at Bear Island. nobody is at Riverrun - or did they give it back to Edmure?

Though I'm starting to like the idea of Sansa on the throne. She has proven she is a better strategist, and she actually cares more for the welfare of her fighting men than either Jon or Dany do. So, I'm thinking Queen Sansa - Arya and the Hound for her Queensguard.

I'd they haven't already, Starbucks should jump on this with some sort of Dragon-cino drink.
I bet someone from Starbucks offered Cersei gold for product placement and she was all like “I gotta bury three kids, I need the moolah!”

Tragic deaths aside, man, that Jaime/Brienne situation was a let down. I know it probably had to happen, but couldn’t he have left like next week? At least let us have one happy moment to hold on to this episode!
I kept inching closer to the screen as they got closer to each other and then fell off the sofa while pretending to scream for joy when they kissed because I’m 12. It was so great to see them together, and I care about that much more than I care who sits on the iron throne at the end.

But I’m holding out hope Jamie returns after Cersei dies, so he and Brienne can have their extremely large, blond children.

One review I saw makes an interesting point about Tyrion's doomed attempt to appeal to his sister's better nature (you'd have thought that by now he recognises she doesn't have one) when he tells her that, while her reign is over, her life doesn't need to be, and she should think about surrendering and thus allowing her (as yet unborn) child to live.

This is in Euron 's hearing, of course. He's standing right next to her on the platform.

While the different timelines in GoT always seem a bit skewed -- in earlier seasons time in Harrenhal seemed to run either faster or slower than did time elsewhere in Westeros, at least when people were travelling between there and other locations -- there doesn't seem to be any way Tyrion should know Cersei is pregnant again if Euron is the father (which he isn't, of course -- we know that's Jaime, who presumably told Tyrion about it).

So if Euron was paying attention, he might be wondering how Cersei's brother and Team Dany/Team Start know something they really shouldn't, unless -- shock -- Cersei has been telling fibs and trying to pass off someone else's kid as his own.

I fear that level of subtlety is not something one should expect from GoT writing these days. Perhaps once, but now...

Look at it this way, earlier in the episode a presumably traumatic story from Tyrion's past was referenced as an amusing call back in a drinking game ("Hey little brother, remember the time dad ordered the gang rape of that girl you married? Drink!") The show doesn't do subtlety and clever plotting anymore. These days it's all about spectacle and undermining viewer expectations (that is literally the reason Arya was the one to kill the Night King, because everyone expected it to be Jon. Don't get me wrong, I'm still enjoying watching. It just scratches a very different itch now, to what it did five years ago.

Cersei was pregnant when Tyrion met with her before they had the original meeting of the queens and the battle amnesty. Tyrion guessed she was pregnant. I was confused that she said it was Euron's as i thought it was still Jamie's....

That's what I meant. She presumably told Euron it was his because she realises Jaime is a loose cannon (and probably a lost cause, as far as she's concerned) and she wants to cement Euron's alliance with her -- how better to do that than to make him think his child will be heir to the Iron Throne?

So if Euron was paying attention, and not wondering whether Starbucks will open a shop in King's Landing, the fact Tyrion knows he is about to become an uncle again should give Euron pause for thought.

Though, as Myficals suggests, probably no one is paying much intention to the plot's loose ends at this point.

I think that Cersei miscarried Jaime's kid because she should be showing by now. They had actually written a miscarriage scene at the end of Season 7 but cut it. If she is pregnant again, it should be Euron's.

My musings.

- I think Jaime is returning to Cersei because ultimately he's still obsessed. Love and hate and disappointment all jumbled up inside; he just can't quit her. So he's going there to kill her or die with her, operative phrase 'With Her'. I hope he'll return to Brianne but I'm not convinced he'll get out alive.

- I was happy to see Jaime and Brianne's moment (!) but oh so awkward. It was a little cringey to me.

- So we know Ayra is going after Cersei, but who is Cleagane going after, his brother?

- Why did Gendry not already know that Ayra wasn't going to marry him and put on some skirt and take up needlepoint?

- I'm off Team Dany finally. She's not fit to rule, she's exactly the tyrant she thinks she's saving people from.

- Winner of the day for me (oddly) was Varys. He's been consistent since day one about his ultimate loyalty to The Realm. Everything he's done, all the dirt and backstabbing and shenanigans was always for what he believed was best for the needs of the many. Man what conviction. I really hope he survives.

I was talking this through with some colleagues at work today. Didnt she refuse a drink when Tyrion was talking to her and he made the assumption about her pregnancy, yet she was drinking a lot when Euron was angling for a shag with the queen... so there is some possibility that she’s lost Jamie’s in the meantime. My memory is a bit foggy so it seems plausible.
