This hit home. I was a good cashier before starting my career in analytics, but OH MY GOD did I get exhausted having to force a smile ALL FUCKING DAY. I say this even as someone who smiles more than appropriate because of a neurological tick. I can still only smile so damn much and say bullshit customer service scripts so much."A sign of either a liar or a moron."

“If a man smiles all the time, he’s probably selling something that doesn’t work”.
American railroads cemented their place in the imagination of Americans by their vile and underhanded tactics in everything, from what they charged for freight to their passenger system. In California, Southern Pacific perfected the art of charging farmers all that the farmer could bear by reviewing the farmers' books to determine the charge for shipping the farmers' produce to market.![]()

So it turns out... the US air travel system was incredibly, deeply dependent on federal funding to just run day-to-day all this time, to the benefit of private airline shareholders, when everyone thinks that state-run trains are leeching off the government. Weird!bsky.app

Bally has been placed on temporary leave while Campbell's conducts its own investigation, a spokesperson for the company told CBC News in an email statement Tuesday that was also posted online.

The AI bubble isn’t new — Karl Marx explained the mechanisms behind it nearly 150 years ago
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman’s warning of an AI bubble highlights a deeper economic problem: capitalism is producing more capital than it can profitably invest.theconversation.com
I used to love their cream of mushroom. Was my comfort food like tomato soup is for others. Since Shitstain Tariffs though, haven’t bought one can. Fuck him and fuck them.
Campbell's exec on leave after allegedly mocking 'poor people' who eat its soup
It’s something from my childhood, 15-20 minutes in the oven.Never heard of c. of mushroom/cheese toast. Sounds weirdly delicious.
Want to laugh and cry because it's true... lol. Rich fuckers who own a ton of stock are the most safe I think. Whether or not AI can do your job is a very different question than whether or not you might be laid off under the belief it can. ....or if this AI bubble bursts violently there will be a lot of pain to go around.
