Hi Matty. Welcome!
I haven't been on the official SL board for many years. Since it's been so long and you are here, a heads up on some ways this board is different, as far as I know.
There is SL discussion and there is loads of other discussion from evil cats and cute creatures to politics. The SL discussion is peaceful. The politics discussions, often not. But in any case (Cris)tiano who runs the board likes to keep discussion as open as possible except for major nuts. I've read the SL board is more restrictive.
