Random weird accounts sometimes appearing on my land?

I own a homestead that is not connected to the mainland or anything. You have to teleport to get here. The homestead is of course defined as a region. The homestead is also mostly just one big parcel, except for one much smaller corner parcel that holds the box I use to pay rent.

I made the region open to all but control access to the parcel with both ban lines and a security orb.

Every great once in a while... maybe once ever few weeks that I see, I get notified by my security orb about some random person appearing on my land. They always leave very quickly. I have looked up these accounts and they seem to always have blank profiles, no groups and no payment info on file.

Just now, I tried checking in the region to require people to have payment info on file to see if that gets rid of them. But I'm mostly just curious what is going on. Are these some sort of bots looking for something as they randomly teleport around? It's happened several times. They are different accounts and I tried talking to one who never responded.

My theory is they might be some kind of bot looking for abandoned land or something. But I of course don't really know.

Well, in the past, these tended to be from someone's grid survey type of project. IIRC they would have their bot army porting around to see which sims were up, down or gone. I am unsure if they are still doing this.
There was also the interactive 3d picture system that you could assign in a sim and co ordinates and it would tp into it, take a 3d picture and then leave. I have no idea if that is still around either.

What I've observed seems very consistent with this, so it's similar to my theory. I just hope it's not something more malicious than that.

I will add, that often when I am bored I will randomly teleport around. I have a hud thst drops you on a random region. I also will just drop in on anytjing with an interesting map tile.

But then it looks meh so I move on.

So it could be people like that, but I doubt people like that have blank profiles.

I also teleport around randomly, but I have a profile, not sure about the whole blank profile thing.

I've also seen tip boxes with "Last Tip Rose Karuna" while I do the same.
