Here's three ways I've learned for posting Flickr pics in the forum. Most of this should work on other BBCode-based forums, too. The forum automatically resizes pictures that are too big, but all of the methods below let you view the full-size picture (or the page it's hosted on) by clicking the image in the forum post.
1. URL Cut-and-Paste (auto-embed)
The first method is easiest: just cut and paste the url from your picture's Flickr page right into the message editor. The forum will automatically embed the image, complete with fancy navigation arrows and image info when you hover your mouse over the picture.
1a. Insert Media
Alternatively, you can go to the toolbar at the top of message editor, click on the three dots (the Insert menu), and pick "Media":
A big dialog will pop up where you can paste the page url. The dialog also shows a list of sites for which this method works.
The resulting image embed works the same as Method #1.
2. Flickr Share
Click the "Share" icon on the picture's Flickr page:
Make sure the "BBCode" tag is selected. Choose the size of the preview pic at the bottom. Copy the BBCode in the middle of the Share dialog, then paste the code into the message editor. The code will look similar to this:

This method always puts the picture info immediately after the picture, right on the same line. You'll have to edit that in the forum post to fix it, which is why I don't use this method so much anymore. Too much work.
3. Flickr Download Links
This method embeds the image directly. It's a bit of fussing to do it this way for Flickr stuff, but it's useful if your picture on Flickr is tagged Private, Moderate, or Restricted, and you want people without a Flickr account to view it. (Naughty pix represent! *cough*
) It's also useful for images from websites the forum doesn't auto-embed, like the screenshots in this message.
Start by clicking the "Download" icon on the picture's Flickr page, then click "View all sizes" from the popup menu:
On the next page you'll see a bunch of links for different sizes of the image.
Follow the link for the size you want to use. On that page, right-click on the image and pick "Copy image address" or "Copy image link" (this will vary a little depending on your browser).
Go back to the forum message editor and click the "Insert Image" button:
Paste the image URL you copied earlier into the dialog box here, then click the Insert button. The editor will display the image directly in your message — no preview needed! Below is the result from the "Square 150" link in my example.
