I have a quick question. It's been a while since I been on SL (due to many surgeries).

Anyway, I know there is a way of doing this, I did it last night but didn't see really what key I hit. I'm trying to bring the viewer itself to move closer or far so that I can see what is outside on the sides of the viewer. I just can't remember how I did it. You can still see everything but there is a way of viewing it a bit far to see what is outside of the screen. Help! lol.

Does anyone know?

No, not on the hud (I don't think). This isn't any of huds related. There's a button you push ie shift or cntrl (which I have tried both) then scroll your mouse wheel and it moves the outline of the screen to see outside of the sl screen. It's like a zoom on a camera. Its so hard to explain lol.

Yes, that's what Noodles is referring to - easiest way is to hit ctrl+3 (edit mode), select something on your hud, and use mousewheel.

You can try pushing the left and right arrows at the same time
Or one of these:
  • Windows key + Up Arrow = Maximize window
  • Windows key + Down Arrow = Minimize the desktop window
  • Windows key + Right Arrow = Maximize window on right side of the screen
  • Windows key + Left Arrow = Maximize window on the left side of the screen
  • Windows key + Home = Minimize all except the active window
  • Windows key + Shift + Up Arrow = Stretch the window from the top and bottom of the screen
Or if you want to try others, here's the list of Firestorm keyboard shortcuts

It didn't work that way. I guess best to describe is like a picture in picture. when you scroll out with your mouse wheel then a red square of the screen will show where you can then see any Huds or what not is out of regular screen view, and you can drag the items that you can't see in regular view mode. I hope that makes sense. ugh.

Love the ideas you all are giving me and I'm trying them all. If I do finally figure out how I used to do it I'll let you guys know too. I'm still open for suggestions.

Like, on your HUD?

If I am editing an item on my HUD, I believe you can roll the mouse wheel and zoom out.
Yayyyyyy!! I tried your way again and it worked!!! That was exactly what I was looking for. Thank you guys I appreciate you helping me with this.

Thank you so much and also for the link to the keyboard shortcuts. I think too many of my back surgeries fried my brain lmao
