Can I make my own alpha applier for mesh bodies?

I found the perfect t-shirt (-Pixicat- Janis.Top). Problem is, I poke out of the shoulders. I can partially fix it with the alpha control of the Belleza universal HUD, but the shoulder slice is so big that a visible part of the arm, below the shirt sleeve, also disappears.

Can I use the Omega system to make an applier for a system UV-mapped alpha texture prepared specifically for this t-shirt, overriding the universal HUD alpha thing? I have the omega relay for the Belleza body. I used to do scripting, so if it requires some DIY I can do that. Just wondering if it's even possible.

No, the alphas do not work on the body. You will need to wait for bakes-on-mesh, perhaps, for that to work.

If the body was modifiable then the answer would be yes but Belleza is not if I recall. However, maybe a script akin to auto-hider would help? Not sure if it can only trigger specific spots already scripted into body or can it adjust the position a bit. If bakes will work like system bodies and you will be able to wear alpha, clothes, skin, eyes and such the old way - it might work.

Alphas are for the LL Classic Avatar, period.

If a modern mesh avatar needs alphas its the same as the creator saying, screw it I give up, you fix it.

I have to many clothes that are made and rigged correctly and fit my mesh avatar, without alphas, I know it can be done and I know it does work. I also know there are a lot of clothes that were / are made by people that just flat don’t know what they are doing. Still learning I guess.

Propagating the thoughts that alphas are needed for mesh avatars is refusing to go forward with new and better avatars, with alphas you live in the past, and that was not all that pretty.

I'm going to cut them some slack, as my shape may be outside the range they test :)
