Interesting comments in this reddit thread on why certain bodies lack support:
Signature Gianni was the most popular male body for a long time. It has been eclipsed by Legacy, and their newer body Davis did not catch on. I can’t speak to the female side. I posted more because I thought the insight into the body market was interesting in the comments. It came out in - I think - 2019? It hasn't been updated since, and Signature I don't believe was ever an extremely popular brand.

I still have a Gianni body, and don't plan to change any time soon.Signature Gianni was the most popular male body for a long time. Trust me, I buy A LOT of clothing. Jake and Legacy are the standards now. Some brands still do Gianni but it is shrinking. I have lots of newer stuff that did not come with Gianni. The complaint from designers is Signature bodies are particularly hard to rig for, and Signature ignored complaints about improving their SDK. I remember when Noche very loudly announced they were dropping support for Signature, and others have followed. As I am not getting into clothing design, I understand the complaints. I will not be rigging for Signature I don't think.I still have a Gianni body, and don't plan to change any time soon.
At least 90% of the new stuff still supports Signature Gianni. And besides my inventory is full with Gianni stuff.
Most males are not so triggered by all kinds of fashion changes I guess.
I´m not that much into fashion at all. I have some clothing for almost every occasion. An awful lot middle of the road and easy to combine.Trust me, I buy A LOT of clothing. Jake and Legacy are the standards now. Some brands still do Gianni but it is shrinking
No one knows more about suits (birthday and otherwise) is SL than I do. If you want some advice, let me know. I would be happy to show you the best ones.I´m not that much into fashion at all. I have some clothing for almost every occasion. An awful lot middle of the road and easy to combine.
So I will postpone changing to another body as long as possible. All I´m still looking for is a decent suit, but damn they make awful pants these days, as if it is a crime that they fit properly. IMHO a suit has to be a suit, not a bag of wrinkles.
Sometimes I just want to log in, pick up a couple of new outfits and go dancing. I don't want to dicker with the nerdy details or remember why BOM isn't showing up like it did yesterday. One other thing to point out is that replacing a mesh body once you committed to one can be a horribly massive undertaking. Just learning a new setup takes a long time. Replacing a wardrobe is time consuming and very expensive. So I can relate to people who invested heavily in a failed body and don't want to update just yet.
acess to devkits and rigging is a constant complaint i hear from everyone that does mesh.. people won't put in the time and effort if it won't sell. And from what i can tell it takes alot to rig and support a single dress across so many different bodies. I've heard many stories from new and exprienced store owners wanting to get the devkit for a certain body but having to find someone who already owns it to get it from them.Happy to see Kupra mentioned on the thread but sad to see some creators stopped making stuff for it since it's not seen as one of the big ones anymore....
I posted that in the Legacy Bombshell thread. I think. I forget now.i'm honestly surprised no one has come out with an ultimate body that can swap between different rigs like an omega applier...
