What Happened to Tweenster?

I have been literally flat on my ass for that last two weeks with this flu that has been going around. First time I've logged into SL in that time was last night and I was greeted to this.

Naturally there has been rumors of Tweenster going tits up for years but this is the first time I've seen it go this far. There has been some posts by Frostypaws saying its dead and the in game store and marketplace is gone.

I posted a thread on the official forums just casually inquiring "whats up" but for some unknown reason why Tweenster has closed is a off limit topic. We have had discussions in the "official" forums before about products being taking off the market and LL has never lost their shit over it.

Now I want to know what is going on. For two reasons. One I'm apart of a new body line that coming out soon, I'm beta testing the BOM layers now. I want to judge the marketplace and see if this is a good time. Second and mostly, I'm now fucking nosy.

I know absolutely nothing about Tweenster except the name, which I first saw about three minutes ago. (So, I'm an instant online expert, of course.) There are a lot of unrelated definitions on the web for that term. Guessing it might have something to do with a person's age, so could it be related to the recent kerfuffle about age play?

Yeah, I wonder if something happened with the age play crackdown at LL.

And before anyone thinks it, I am not saying the creator was or wasn't involved in anything.

I am just thinking that it feels like they wpuld be an easy target for heavy heavy harassment.

It's to do with tween i.e. pre-teenager, so in that sense yes it does have to do with age play.

Tweenster is a mesh body for...younger avatars, and its related clothing and product. Their in-world group was recently shut down and the Tweenster store announced they are closed..
